tosh_bioTosh Cook is the Founder and co-owner of Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu of Fresno. He is widely regarded as one of the top martial arts instructors in the Central Valley. His accomplishment include: 9-4 professional fight record in the WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting), KOTC (King of the Cage), GC (Gladiator Challenge), and IFC (International Fighting Championship). Teaching Credentials and certifications include: Black Belt certified by UFC Champion Royce Gracie, 2nd Degree Black Belt in Shou Shu Karate, Certified Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics Instructor, and Level II Combatives Instructor for the United States Army National Guard.

A prolific competitor, Tosh Has competed in the Pan Ams Jiu-Jitsu Championships, No Gi Pan Ams, United States Army Combatives Championships, United Gracie Championships, American National Championships, California State Championships, Copa Pacifica de Jiu-Jitsu, Grapplers Quest, International Karate Championships, World Super Grand Karate Championships, and was ranked as high as the #4 amateur kick boxer in California IKF international rules). Most recently, Tosh was one of 16 competitorsĀ invited to compete in the Road to Metamoris.

In addition to teaching and competing, he is a licensed corner man for Professional Competition in the states of and has judged or cornered fighters in the WEC, PFC (Palace Fighting Championships), GC, and numerous other professional events. He has also promoted several successful tournaments, including the All Valley Championships and Grapple for the Cure.

Tosh has spent significant time as a sparring partner for Royce Gracie including his epic fights against Sakaraba and Hughes, and accompanied Team Gracie to Japan for Royce's epic 2nd fight against Yoshida. As an instructor, Tosh has taught personnel from the Federal Bereau of Investigations, Department of Justice, Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, California Highway Patrol, Fresno Police Department, Clovis Police Department, and Fresno County Sheriffs Department. A strong proponent of education, Tosh has a B.S. (University of the Pacific) and MBA (Pepperdine University). He proudly serves in the California Army National Guard and graduated from Fort Benning OSUT (Infantry School).

According to Tosh, "When I am on the mat teaching or training, time stands still. Above all, I try to live and teach by three simple philosophies: Discipline, Technique, and Loyalty." About Tosh, Royce Gracie Says "He is a fighter, a champion, and above all a good guy. He lives to fight!"
